Terminaton
I’ve been a Comcast customer from 2021-2024, I renewed my contract for an extended period. However, things took an unexpected turn with my landlord, and I was forced to close my business for in October 2024. When I reached out to Comcast, I was informed that I would have to pay a $600 termination fee. I find this situation to be extremely unethical. They’ve told me that I’m still responsible for paying for the service, even though there’s no place to connect it anymore.
To make matters worse, I was advised to continue monitoring the property to see if a new tenant moves in, and if so, they told me to ask them to take over the account. I explained to the representative that it’s unreasonable and awkward to approach strangers about taking over an account.
I feel that Comcast is being unnecessarily greedy, asking me to pay for a service I can no longer use, especially when it’s disconnected. I’ve called twice and received the same runaround both times. What is a business owner supposed to do when they’re forced to shut down overnight?

Thank you so much for sharing your situation with us, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve been facing. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to have your business unexpectedly close, and I completely understand your frustration with the termination fees and the difficulty of resolving this matter.
I want to kindly let you know that here on the Comcast Business Forums, we don't have access to your billing information, so we aren’t able to make changes or review your account details directly. However, I recommend reaching out to Comcast’s customer support team at 1-800-391-3000. They should be able to look into your specific case and explore any possible options or solutions regarding your situation.
Again, I sincerely empathize with what you’re going through, and I hope that Comcast’s team can assist you in finding a fair resolution. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or need further guidance!
Wishing you all the best.
