Cannot connect to xfinity hotspots

Hello, I travel a lot for work and would like to take advantage of the hotspots around the country instead of using data. Tried looking up solutions to the problem but looks like it was never resolved. I'm trying to use my login and password to connect but it either tells me that my login is invalid or when it does authenticating it fails and tells me to tr again until I lock myself out.  I don't know what to do or why this is so difficult.
