You can transfer the call to the other phone, but you would need to get to the new location and pick it up before the call goes to Voice Mail. If you do decide to use this option, you can go into the End User Feature Portal for any user, and go to the Voice Mail section, Greetings area, and adjust the number of rings at that phone before the incoming call goes to Voice Mail.
A better option might be to use the Feature we provide call Call Park and Call Retrieve. With this Feature you can answer a call at any phone, place that call on Hold, select New Call (you get dial tone), and dial *68xxxx# (xxxx would be your extension number). You will hear a recording at that time that your call has been "Parked". You then can go to any phone in your business, get dial tone, and dial *88xxxx# and that call will be picked up at the new phone.
I hope this helps!

I changed the rings before voilmail pickup to 6 so it should solve my problem. As adminstrator I was able to change 4 of my 6 phones to 6 rings also but there are 2 phones where there wasn't the voicemail, greeting option so I couldn't change those 2 phones. Any suggestions?

I'd like some clarification on the use of the hold button. We had the voice edge installed here just a month ago and none of us like the hold feature - too many buttons. We want to be able to answer any phone, put that call on hold by pressing a single button, pick up at any other phone by picking up the receiver and pressing the blinking line button.
When I called about this the tech told me we had to switch to Unified Seats (extra charge, of course) and that would make it work. It doesn't seem to. When I contacted her all I got was the same manual I found online and that doesn't have any help at all.
We are just 4 guys in a shop - no secretary or office person to forward calls. We want a one button hold system.
Thank you.

same problem with the 500 series phones. it takes way too much time to put one in PARK and get it back. but it you change it to using hold then nobody has a set extension or "personal number". Its just like their cable TV, to get two channels you want you buy 7 that you never watch. you already signed the contract so they dont give a crap .
