Voicemail Greeting Issue – Unable to Save or Change Greeting

We are having an issue with our Xfinity Voice voicemail system. When we try to record and save a new voicemail greeting, we receive an error stating that it cannot be completed at this time.

The problem is not limited to our new recording. We also cannot change the voicemail greeting back to the default/standard Xfinity greeting. Any attempt to change or save the greeting results in the same type of error.

We have tried accessing the voicemail settings multiple ways, but the issue persists.

At this point, we believe there may be a problem with the voicemail mailbox or the voicemail service on Xfinity's end. Could you please check the voicemail account/mailbox and determine whether it needs to be reset or repaired?

We need to be able to change our business voicemail greeting, so we would appreciate having this escalated to the appropriate technical team if necessary.

Thank you.

user_b8a9bf Hi there! I can understand how important it is to have the ability to update your business voicemail greeting, and I'd be happy to look into this further. Since you've already tried recording a new greeting and even switching back to the default greeting with the same error occurring each time, I'd like to take a closer look at the voicemail service and account details. Please send us a Direct Message with your name, service address, and the affected phone number, and we'll investigate further to see what's causing the issue and whether additional troubleshooting or escalation is needed.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Comcast Business".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Comcast Business" from that list.
  6. An "Comcast Business" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

[Edited to provide the correct Direct Message instructions]

We appreciate the details you've provided so far and look forward to helping get this resolved.

@Comcast_Christy

I typed "Xfinity Support" into the drop down and it does not appear, only different users with the word "support" in their name.

It signs me in, I can click on new conversation, but when I type "Xfinity Support" I just get a list of users with the word "support" in their name.

Let's see chat on your website doesn't work, if I call-in I get parts of an automated voice that sometimes reacts to me. Do you hate your customers that much.

user_b8a9bf You would want to send the message to the Comcast Business contact listed. If you are still unable to find it, I would recommend reaching out to the Comcast Business Support Team directly at 800-391-3000.
