One day "holiday" voicemail

Good Morning,

 

On Friday our office will have to be closed because they're replacing the water main into our building. Next thursday and Friday we're having a "long 4th of July weekend. Is there a simple way to create a "special" message that will run for one or two days and then revert to our normal and after hours greetings?

 

I know how to set a holiday in the schedule, but the VM plays our after hours greeting that simply says we are closed.  I'd like to customize the greeting for each holiday.  .

Thank you for reaching out SyECI! If you are the Primary Manager, you can set up specialized schedules using the portal: Create time and holiday schedules online and if you happen to have Business VoiceEdge Service, there is a link near the top of that article as well 🙂

VoiceEdge Portal Screen Shot.JPGOur AutoAttendant has a lot of options that all seem to end the same way.  Business hour greeting during regular business hours and closed greeting during hours we are closed and holidays I set up.  What I want is a separate holiday greeting during business hours when we are closed because we sometimes take two days for holidays and clients need special instructions since the financial markets are open and we are closed.  

 

Another example: Friday our office is closing because the entire complex will not have water between 8 am and 7 pm.  I can schedule a "holiday" and the after hours message will run, but there's no easy way to tell clients it's because of health and hygiene we are required to close.

 

As cumbersome as our old system was, as long as I was in the office I could set any one of several different custom messages.  It seems as though I'm locked between "we are open" and "we are closed."

Ah, I keep forgetting that the interface changed! I appreciate the feedback on the AA and will definitely pass it on! I would love to have more options for our customers! For now, you could put the hours of operation and you could also set up the AA to route to different numbers that go to an automated voicemail with the specific message you need.
