How can we see which extension ( user) is on line – busy so we do not transfer a line?

Hi,

We have Comcast Business Voiceedge.

How can we see which extension ( user) is on line – busy so we do not transfer a line?

Thank you in advance.

That is a great question! One of the great features is that you are able to monitor when other users are on their phone so you are able to know if they are available for a transfer or not. The link: https://comca.st/3Kq2fbl goes over Comcast Business VoiceEdge so that you can learn more about the features.

This link takes me to the main page of voiceedge: https://business.comcast.com/enterprise/products-services/unified-communications/comcast-business-voiceedge?linkId=148745296 is it possible to point me to the atricle that explains how I do that, or explain here, please? Thank you in advance.

VoiceEdge has a lot of really great features to help keep your business running smoothly and we are glad to help provide some tips that will help. For one, if the person who is unable to take call and wants to set up the feature, “Call forwarding, no answer” then they can lift the receiver, wait for the dial tone and then press *92 and the number you want the call to be forwarded to instead. You would simply do the same but press *93 to deactivate this feature.

If you are more specifically looking to give a notice to those making the transfer that a certain extension is busy or unavailable, here are the steps:

To Activate

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone and then dial *230.

The phone line will now appear busy and will not accept calls until Terminal Make Busy is deactivated.

To Deactivate

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone and then dial *231.

The phone line is returned to normal and will accept incoming calls.

Will you let me know if this is what you are looking for, please? We want to be sure we hit the nail on the head for what you need 😊.

I no longer work for Comcast.
