disable DND

Our employees are activating DND when they shouldn't be. Is it possible to deactivate the DND feature? We are using the Polycom VVX 311 HD

Hello @user_0d8a0a! Thank you for reaching out to us here with your questions concerning the Do Not Disturb feature of the phone service. The DND feature is part of the phone service that can't be removed if that is what you are asking, but if you are wondering how to deactivate it you would do these 2 steps:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press *79

The phone no, but the VoiceEdge desktop app has an icon on the top right that is for DND. It turns red when you have DND active. Are you by chance using the app in conjunction with the phones?

Hi Eric, 

This is an obvious feature that any business-grade phone system should have. There are plenty of use cases for disabling the ability of an extension to be set to do DND. 

When will this feature be made available to us?

I definitely understand where you're coming from, @user_33581f. I know it's important that everyone is taking calls when they are expected to. For now, you can check out all the features you have access to here. I'm going to submit your feedback because I think that's an excellent idea for a future enhancement to our service!
