Change Name on Phone display

We have a new employee with the company and I'm trying to get his name to display correctly on the phone display. We have a Polycom system and I've made the change in the portal but the name is still reflecting a past employee. Please help.

Good morning, . Congrats on the new employee! So sorry for the trouble with the display. We can help. Is this a teleworker account and is it the caller ID display that you're needing to update?

Hi Morgan,

This employee is in the office and has a desk phone.  We have Polycom VVX310 phones and moved a phone from one cube (old employee) to new cube.  Everything with the phone is working but when he dials internally it is still showing the old employee name even though I've updated the user name through the portal.

We have a couple employees that just have "Unused Seat" as the display name and I'm trying to get their names to display correctly on the phone display. We have a Polycom system and I've made the change in the portal but the name is still reflecting "Unused Seat".

Good morning! How are you today?

Thanks for reaching out to us so that we can help with your Caller ID settings. We can help you fix the anonymous caller ID “Unused Seat” to specific employee ID displays. First, let’s check some settings. You can do this directly for the Xfintiy MyAccount app. Can you try this and let me know if you are able to personalize these contacts, please?

Sign in to the My Account app and select Business VoiceEdge from the Services menu.

Select Users from navigation menu.

Search for or select the specific user from the Users page. 

Select the pencil icon in the Caller ID section, make any necessary edits, review your changes, and select SAVE.
