while on line 1, second call will not forward to line 2

Question

If i am on a call on line 1 and recieve a second call it will not forward to line 2 it will ring until i hang up. I am however able to answer the second call on line 1 and it will put the first call on hold, still on line 1. This issue just started last week, never had any previous problems, have tried to turn off forwarding on website, turned on forwarding on the phone. not sure what else to try
