Port phone number from Business Voice to Xfinity Voice


I recently signed up Xfinity Internet and voice at the end of my Comcast Business contract at home. My Comcast Business service will official end in about 2 weeks. The Xfinity agent who helped me to sign up was not able to port my phone number from Comcast Business voice over after my Xfinity service was turned on. I also called Xfinity customer support and they said I have to wait till the day the Business service ends.

Does anyone knows the correct thing to do? I don't want to lose the Business voice number.

Hello, @ling, thank you for bringing this to our attention! So to address your main question, it is absolutely possible, but it does have some requirements. As such, this will require the discussion of account-specific information please use the Direct Message icon in the upper right to enter Direct Messaging and send us a message with your full name and full address.



Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there
  • - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
  • - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it"
