Incomming log distance calls can not get through

I have had a few clients tell me that they can not get through to us.  They describe a toggle message they get when they call.  This only happens when someone is calling from another area code, specificily out of state.

HI CGM2211. We can assist with this issue, however we will need  additional info in order to proceed  Can you provide the originating area code and prefix, (the first six digits) of the incoming call?
