Holiday schedule

My Holiday schedule does not seem to be working correctly  I want to make sure that when the phone rings it immediately goes to the auto attendant - for example we are closing early today for the Memorial day weekend and I set it for 1:00pm  & when i call our main number it still rings 5-6 times before going to the auto-attendant  as opposed to after 5 when it immediatly ring to the auto attendant.  please help
