Call forwarding feature - only show my number
We have a Comcast user which is an insurance agency. Each night we forward our main number using *72 and the destination number.
The answering service we use want to see OUR number (732 555 1212) as the incoming caller id, NOT THE incoming caller. The answering service is the biggest insurance carrier in the country, we cannot change.
For example: 212 555 1212 calls our office. It is after 6pm. Call forwarding is active and the call forwards to the answering service. The answering service sees 212 555 1212. Instead the answering service wants to see my number (732 555 1212).
Can this be done with Comcast? It is the opposite of what most people want but this is what we need.

Thanks for reaching out to us on our Comcast Business Support Forums, tgsJimmy. Unfortunately, we don't have a way to configure your answering service caller ID so that the forwarded number will show as the business number it's forwarding from. The number will show as the number the person is calling from. That would be something your answering service would have to contact their Phone Vendor or Voice Service provider for. If you need more details, send me a private message with your full name and the phone number listed on our account.

That would block the customer incoming call caller ID. I am sorry for any frustrations.

Is there an option to turn off caller id on my phone lines altogether? And if so, would that block the customer / incoming call caller id? There must be a way since this is an Allstate Insurance Agency and many many locations use this feature.
