Back in 2015 it looked like Comcast was monitoring these forums.
Several customers received responses indicating corrupt user accounts (on Comcast's end), and after reconfiguration by their engineers, apparently things got resolved.
Perhaps Comast doesn't look here anymore....

Based on your description it appears your account was not activated properly.
I would recommend the following to start on the troubleshooting.
1. Log in to the My Account portal then click on 'users'
2. in the user section - check how many email account are in use
- if you see 3/3 of available: this mean you have only activated the billing and login aspect of the site
- try to register the .comcastbiz.net uid in the 'websites' link tab to get started
- .comcastbiz.net uid is needed to fully activate the site
- if you see 2/3 of available: this mean you either you sign with a non-admin account or the account it self is corrupt.
- look for the current admin under the 'users' tab to verify your account
- a corrupt account will need a repair by our engineers

I got the confirmation that is was successful and to wait 45 mins for it to show up in my portal. It's been almost a week now and nothing is showing up. I tried to register again but I get an error saying "Unable to register". I was told that something was stuck on the backend system and I cannot get a hold of anyone to look into it.

I read this article http://businesshelp.comcast.com/help-and-support/email/register-vanity-domain/ , the last step was to confirm the domain you just registered by clicking a link in the email they send.
Once I did that the domain showed up instantly and I was able to change my plan. Thanks!

completing domain verification is exactly what i am trying to do in order to point my domian to comcast. however, i am running into problems. my domain name is mcgomezexporters.com. it is registered with network solutions. I have edited cname & had them confirm but received no email confirmation from comcast. i have since deleted my domain verification from my comcast business portal after waiting days for it to be verified & added it again. this time however the comcast verificaton page didnt populate an alias. the field where it should have been was blank except for two semicolons. now i am stuck. my current exchange email is email@example.com & I have sent multiple test messages to myself which were successful.
