Connecting a Samsung Network Extender and Access to our Comcast SMCD3G Router

Hi,

I am trying to connect a Samsung Network Extender (SCS-2U01) to our Comcast SMCD3G router. I believe it has an IP address since I get an IP address via DHCP from that port when I plug my laptop in. The Samsung Network Extender is not able to connect to the Verizon network, I have had it running for a day and the Samsung Network Extender still cannot configure itself. I have verified that the extender works, I was able to set it up at my home connection without any problems.

I contacted Verizon and they suggested to open up certain ports on the router but I cannot log in to the Comcast SMCD3G router.

Can Comcast provide me with the username and password to the router?

I will need someone to open the ports for us on the router or troubleshoot what is going on.

Thanks,

Hi dmisyseng.  The gateway default username is <cusadmin> default password is <highspeed>.  The password is case sensitive and is all lowercase letters.  You can change the password.

Thank You
