DHCP Error 0x79

I am constantly getting the below issue popping up and causing temporary disconnection to the internet:

"Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address [...].  The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.

The IP address lease 192.168.1.3 for the Network Card with network address [...] has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message)."

This error has only started happening since switching to Comcast business class service.  We are using a Netgear WNR1000 router.  How to fix?  Extremeley frustrating...

Welcome pepinb.  The error indicates that you have a predefined IP address on the Computer (192.168.1.3) and your Netgear device has either assigned that IP address to another device or it is outside the scope of the DHCP range. Check the DHCP range on your router and make sure the PC is set to obtain and address automatically.

Thank You
