Speaker Button Feature

Some of my users are expeirincing an issue with the speaker button - when they use that to pick up a call there is a 20-30 second delay on the other end where the party calling doesn't hear them - the party using the speaker button can hear the person calling them fine  Is anyone else experiencing or has experienced this issue?   Thnx.

Hello JaquiAWP and welcome,

 

This sounds like a telephone specific issue with programming or configuration. If you can hear immediately from hand set when make calls and receive calls, then when you transfer to speaker phone it provide the delay you are speaking of then this is the telephone itself, not the Comcast Digital Voice service.

We are having the same situation as one of the previous commenters.  There is a 20-30 second delay on the line when the user answers the phone using the speaker phone key.  It was stated that this was a specific phone problem, but we just got five brand new phones and they all do the same thing.  Is there anyway to correct this?

We are having the same problem with speakerphone.  When the user answers the phone using speakerphone key the caller can't hear him.  This occurs randomly and not consistently.  We have only noticed the problem on extension to extension calls.   We have also only noticed the problem on the Polycom VVX500 phone (although the person using this model answers the phone on speaker a great deal more than others).  We replaced his line about a year ago with a new Polycom VVX500 phone and the problem has continued.  Has anyone resolved this?  Has anyone isolated the problem to specific phone models?

Nobody has been able to give me an adequate response from Comcast BVE regarding this issue - I mention it anytime I call with an issue & each time it's as though I must be losing my mind basically or worse I clearly don't understand how the phone works - as I've stated in a previous meme I think they rolled out their BVE service too soon and without adequate testing.
