Voice2Go and Nomorobo

I was looking at the Nomorobo service, a free service to block robo calling, and found that it is not usable on Business Class, only on Residential with Voice2Go.

 

Why is this, and will it be resolved?

 

We businesses use our phones to generate revenue, it is a waste of time and resources to not be able to enable this service which is already available for residential customers.

Comcast Digital Voice customers do have a call blocking features that can be typically activated by at the dial tone pressing *60. Then you can follow the prompts to add 10 digit Telephone Numbers (TNs) that you want to block.  This can also be performed in your online Digital Voice Center (DVC) that should be accessible from your Comcast Business Portal (BCP).

Comcast Digital Voice customers do have a call blocking features that can be typically activated by at the dial tone pressing *60. Then you can follow the prompts to add 10 digit Telephone Numbers (TNs) that you want to block.  This can also be performed in your online Digital Voice Center (DVC) that should be accessible from your Comcast Business Portal (BCP).

I would have preferred that you had read and responded to my forum post instead of posting irrelevant information that I already have in my user guide. I know how to block a caller, IF they have a caller ID that is.

 

I do not want to try to block only the 12 or so numbers that we are allowed to block, I want to utilize a free service that the Residential Customers can already use to automatically block these calls.

 

I do not have the time to be doing this manually every time, and even then, Comcast ties my hands at 12 numbers so what is the point?

 

And while we are at it no need for the abbreviations as they are typically only placed in a document, as you have done, when you intend to utilize the abbreviation in your writing. In this case they were neither used, nor had any relativity to my forum post.

 

If you have knowledge of and want to address the actual questions about Voice2Go or Nomorobo and when Business Customers can have these options I would welcome your response, but please try to keep it on topic to save both my time and yours.

I apologize for trying to assist you and not knowing that you were not referring to the standard business digital voice call blocking features. As you know, Voice 2Go and Nomorobo are a residential digital voice faciliity and a free cloud application, respectively.   Comcast is always looking to enhance it business customer experience with improved technology to better meet business customer requirements. I will be happy to brush your input into the appropriate business marketing and managerial channels for future consideration.

Comcast business is very poor for blocking robo calls. I wish they would get in the program as residential customers have. I am constantly having to deal with robo calls .

I am trying to control the flow of robotic calls to the church.

NOMOROBO was recently set up on the church parsonage VOIP service (which as it is paired with our Comcast account, is residential). This connection is working well and has started to reduce our 'crank' calls. Just takes a moment to realise we don't have to jump at the first ring. Wait for the 2nd or third.

 

Sadly, this type of user feature seems to be not implemted or implementable for the business customer.

 

Since many of the robo callers are ignoring the DONOTCALL lists already and constantly changing their originating number, the manual method of stopping only 12 numbers is like a flashlight without batteries.

 

I sincerly hope that the Comcast technical team comes up with tha way for business users to stop this flow of trash calls.

Truly it hinders the environment for business and is a service much needed.

Please add my vote: For the sake of customers, service, and satisfaction (read: customer retention), Comcast needs to enable nomorobo or a similar robot call-block function for its business customers. The technology exists, let your customers use.

Nomorobo works in Business Class voice as long as you have the mobility option. This is an upgrade that rings external numbers such as your mobile phone. It's pricey but it works.

I have Business Class with Mobility.  How do you set up Nomorobo?
