Scammy survey presented by Comcast

I joined my office wifi network today and was presented with an unprovoked popup window showing a very suspicious, scammy looking survey that was "presented by Comcast Business."

The popup had the address "http://www.typingsurvey.com/" and asked me 5-6 questions about my Comcast service. When the survey was completed, I was presented with options to redeem a gift "worth at least $70 in value." Below is a screenshot of the options I was offered.

I'm quite suspicious that this is actually Comcast-approved. Sexual performance supplementals? Testosterone enhancement?

Is this a worrisome scam? Or is Comcast Business really in business with this survey company?

Hello lefthookdigital,

I can tell you that the screenshot below is not any survey that we operate. The only website we would prompt you for a survey is on one of our official websites. We also typically don't offer any type of gift for filling out a survey either. Were you on a Comcast website when that popup occurred?

Well then, evil people are fishing for your customers using your corporate identity as a deception technique. Is Comcast doing anything to defend it's corporate reputation with regard to this issue?   I can tell you, I've experienced the exact same issue.   Malware scans have failed to detect anything wrong my side (I know that test is not conclusive).

BTW:  for me, it's not a "popup:"; rather, the web page I requested and was viewing is hijacked and redirected to some mellowsurvey.com domain.

Surveys caused by adware/malware -- uses ip address to spoof survey as being from Comcast.
